The Spanish Bank has announced figures on the evolution of rents in Spain. This shows that between 2013 and 2019 rents increased by 50%. The largest risers were measured in cities such as Valencia, Costa Blanca, Barcelona, Madrid, Málaga and Palma de Mallorca.
The Banco de España investigation into rents in Spain looked at the prices that tenants have to pay that do not rent tourist properties, that is, the inhabitants of the country. However, we dare to state that rents in Benidorm, Albir, and Altea have also risen by 50% in the free rental sector.
Despite the fact that you have to pay 20% tax, it remains interesting to invest in (rental) houses in Spain.
